Website privacy notice

Version website-privacy-draft-2026-09-11-v2 · Not yet in effect

This is a draft

It is waiting for legal review and may change before the website launches.

What this notice covers

SolarPeer 360 is preparing a pilot waitlist in Lagos, Niger and Abuja. This notice covers the forms on this website only. The SolarPeer app has its own terms.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist: whether you are a buyer, solar owner, installer or cluster partner, your name, your mobile number, your state and your community or area, and any notes you add. If you need power, we also ask where you need it (a shop or business, a campus or student residence, or a home) and whether you know a solar owner near you.

If you tap “Use my current location”, we also save the map point your phone shares and how accurate it is. We do not look up your address from it, and you can remove it before sending.

When you ask for help: your name, the phone number or email address you want us to reply to, the topic, your message and any earlier reference you give.

For both, we record when you sent the form and which version of this notice you agreed to.

What we never ask for here

This website does not take payments and never asks for bank or card details, PINs, passwords or meter codes. It does not create an app account for you.

Why we use it

To contact you about the pilot or reply to your question, to count sign-ups by community when choosing where the first deployments go, and to avoid handling the same request twice. Joining the waitlist does not make you a pilot participant or book an installation.

Who can see it

The SolarPeer team members who handle pilot enquiries. Your details are kept on the website’s server and copied to a Google Sheet in SolarPeer’s Google account (solarpeer360@gmail.com), which only that team can open. We do not sell your details.

How long we keep it

Retention periods are still being decided and will be stated here before this notice takes effect.

Your choices

You can ask us to correct or delete your details from the Help page. Quote your reference if you have one.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not use advertising or analytics tracking.

Status of this notice

This is a draft awaiting legal review against Nigerian data protection law, including the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. It will be updated before the website launches publicly.
